If you have been reading my posts you will know that this journey started a few years ago. Through this period I have been reading plenty and want to share some of that here. This page contains a list of sites, books and podcasts that have accompanied me on this journey and will continue to do so.
Blogs and Podcasts
Madfientist: This is seriously interesting and has a very unique voice. The Mad Fientist tells his story as it happens. There is also a podcast, well worth listening to. He also has a good retirement/FIRE calculator.
Mr. Money Moustache: The original voice of the FIRE movement – he teaches frugality like no one else.
Freefincal: A prof from IIT M, a very informative site with insights on all aspects of Personal Finance, a site very much in the Indian frame. Has a good retirement calculator, however, I find the ads and soliciting of email ID a little aggressive for my liking.
Nerdwallet: basics for a lot of personal finance-related information. A good place to go whenever you need more info.
Valueresearchonline : The big site of mutual fund information. You should definitely read this if you are seriously interested in Mutual Funds.
Subramoney: The long time original writer for financial planning in India. The archives are amazing. He has been writing for such a long time and it is totally worth it to read his articles.
Capital Mind: A very vibrant community of Slack users, a great place to learn. You can be part of the community only as a premium member. The site itself is packed with a lot of very informative articles. They also have a very informative podcast.
PaisaVaisa podcast: If it is one thing you take away from this site it should be this podcast. Totally cracker of a podcast, every episode is a goldmine of information. Do listen to it. Also, follow Anupam on Twitter.
